Melvin Stallings, Jr.
STEM DIRECTOR & RECRUITER
Melvin Stallings, Jr. is the Founder and Executive Director of Cyber Green Group, a workforce training non-profit corporation for teachers and students in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields, located in Bowie, Maryland. Melvin is also a Curriculum Development Specialist. Melvin manages various STEAM initiatives for K-12 levels in schools and recreation centers that foster excitement in Cyber Forensic, Biomedical Engineering and Green Science. Melvin was the Director of STEM Education and the School Recruiter for National Collegiate Preparatory Public Charter High School in Washington DC for the last 8 years.
He created several STEM courses and the award winning Afterschool STEM program. Melvin was the driving force in establishing a Saturday’s STEM Academy that has increased math assessment scores for the last three years by 20%.
Melvin received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Norfolk State University and his Master from Notre Dame of Maryland University. He is a member of the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington DC Chapter, and a Life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated (Psi Nu Chapter of Alexandria, VA). He is also a trained forensic scientist. As an African-American, it is his duty to use his resources to help build a STEM workforce and educational academy for the students and families in Liberia.
