Ayesha Bell-Gam Woto
HEALTH CLINIC DIRECTOR
Mrs. Ayesha E.R. Bell-Gam Woto is the Coordinator of the Medical Science Pathway, faculty at the Department of Biological Sciences at the T.J.R Faulkner College of Science and Technology, University of Liberia.
She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc-Honors) degree from the University of Hull UK England in Biomedical Science, a European Licentiate from the Institute of Biomedical Science UK, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Tropical Medicine at the University of Hawaii, John A.Burns School of Medicine. She has worked as Head of Clinical Biomedical Scientist at the Harpur Hospital In Sadat, Egypt where she created, developed, and conducted training for their Clinical Microbiology, Biochemistry and Immunology laboratories.
Before pursuing her PhD, Mrs. Bell-Gam Woto was the Deputy Director of the National Reference Laboratories at the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) and Regional Lab Coordinator at NPHIL. She designed and implemented the Medical Science Program at the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Liberia.
She worked with world cancer specialists Prof.Jörn Treuner on cancer research specific to Liberia and the African region and Nobel prize winner Prof. Zur Hausen to implement a cervical cancer programme in Liberia. She has served as Scientific Advisor to the Ambassador at the Liberian Embassy in Cairo and Head of Biology at Rivers International School Cairo, Egypt..
Mrs. Bell-Gam Woto is a member at the American Society of Microbiologist, the Royal College of Pathologist UK, the Institute of Biomedical Scientist UK, and board member at African Hope Refugee School Cairo, Egypt.
